North Country Library System Recycling Event

We will be holding a North Country Library System Book Recycling Event on Saturday, May 6th from 9am-12pm. NCLS will be in front of the library with their delivery van to collect the books. Many libraries across NCLS will be holding these events. Only hardcover and paperback books are allowed. No audios, no DVDs, and books can not be wet or dirty.

Yarnivores Group

Meets Every Tuesday from 1:00-4:00pm

Join an informal group of folks who enjoy the art of knitting, spinning, crocheting, and any portable needlecraft. Other hand crafters and adult coloring welcome as well. Bring your own supplies and share ideas, patterns, and techniques

Empowerment Book Club

Join us for the next meeting of the Empowerment Book Club on Saturday, April 29th at 10:30am. The first book the group will be reading is the Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes.

The book club will be a building block for all that attend to focus on self-empowerment, mutual empowerment, and social empowerment. Through reading different books and the discussion of them, the members will work to provide support, guidance, and personal growth as a collective. Discussions will be led by Heather E Rich, LCSW, CASAC-MC and it is her goal for this group to support one another in the adventures and challenges of life; navigating and embracing that daily journey. The book club will be open discussion and open for all to attend.

Our library is starting a Music Instrument Loan Program. One ukulele and two acoustic guitars were donated to us and are now available. With your library card you can access ArtistWorks, which is a free online music lesson resource.
Zoo New York Library Discovery Pass available for loan. With the Zoo New York Discovery Pass, admission is free for two adults and four youth, ages 3 through 17. Children under the age of three are always free, so are not counted as part of the four free youth. Stop in for more details.

The Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday, April 13th at 3:30pm in the library’s Loft. Meeting documents are available upon request.

Interested in free books! Stop in the library to pick up forms to sign up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income.
